In the year 1921, National Pirogov Memorial Medical University was founded. It was named after M.I.Pirogov, in 1960. It is a government co-education medical university.
Vinnitsa National Medical University is recognized by the World Health Organisation (WHO), the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, and the Medical Council of India (NMC).
